Sophia Webster X The Patrick Cox

Patrick Cox

For all the Noughties garage lover’s out there, the legendary Patrick Cox  needs no introduction, but for those of you who aren’t familiar with the godfather of the boundary-breaking moccasin loafer; Patrick is Sophia’s industry hero. Synonymous in the 90’s with Brit Pop and Girl Power, then adopted in the Noughties with UK Garage where the dress-code was always ‘no hats, no trainers’

A collaboration with Patrick has been a long-term dream of Sophia’s. On multiple occasions she cites his Eiffel Tower Jelly Heels as her all-time favourite shoe. It was therefore a no-brainer to enlist him to collaborate on a capsule for this specific product category and to take this opportunity to test her first ever menswear line.

“When I first saw Sophia’s shoes I was like oh my god, this is like, my god daughter!!! We are just two people that love night-clubbing, love shoes, that met each other and did something fun together.” – Patrick Cox

A true garage girl at heart, Sophia lived and breathed UK Garage in her teens, selling tickets for the likes of Heartless Crew, DJ EZ and So Solid Crew. When faced with the business challenge of creating the ultimate day-to-night shoe, she looked no further than her youth and devotion to the genre.

The SOPHIA WEBSTER X THE PATRICK COX loafer collection is now  available to buy here on our website and exclusively from Browns
